Neuromodulation techniques
Pain is a feeling that nature has given us to protect us from harmful effects of the environment and to alert us in cases where something serious is happening in the body.
Rare cases of children born without a sense of pain are tragic and confirm to us the beneficial utility of this feeling.
But pain beyond the point that it protects us from various dangers, is undesirable.
In our clinics we use neuromodulation methods, stimulating nerve pathways that block alginic nerve impulses and reduce sensitivity.
Stimuli used for neuromodulation are:
- Local pressure
- Electrical stimulation
- Fine needles
- A combination of all of the above
The parts of the body where the stimuli are applied are mainly the pinna of the ear, but also various other parts of the limbs and the head.
Main indications of pain treatment with neuromodulation are:
- Headaches
- neuralgia
- Lumbago
- Neuropathic pain
